Funding :

Development of all the PGR Applications is funded by the ICAR National Fellow Project sanctioned to Dr. Sunil Archak, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NBPGR. Informatics R&D is going on at different levels in various genebanks (including CG genebanks) around the world. However, this project stands out as the only project exclusively funded to carry out specialized work on PGR Informatics. ICAR Education Division deserves appreciation for this initiative

Data :

Colleagues at ICAR-NBPGR, since her inception, have been generating data on various activities of PGR management viz. augmentation (collection and import), conservation (seed, in vitro and cryo), characterization and evaluation, utilization (registration, supply). Their immense contribution is acknowledged. These data were curated and made public as per the guidance provided by the sub-committee of the National Advisory Board on the Management of Genetic Resources of ICAR (currently replaced by a committee).

Technical Advice :

Management of data and databases and making them publicly available requires efficient management of hardware facility. Mr. Rajeev Gambhir (ACTO) and Mr. Vijay Mandal (ACTI) of the Agriculture Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU) of NBPGR are acknowledged for the technical advice as well as their role in establishment, maintenance, updating, making accessible various facilities at AKMU.
